Planning a vineyard visit
Everything on this page is counted from the 171 vineyards we list, using what each one says on its own website. It is not advice about any single vineyard, so always check its page first.
Booking
- 97 vineyards state that booking is required.
- 50 vineyards say booking is recommended.
- 5 vineyards say no booking is needed, and 19 do not say.
- 33 vineyards have a booking page on its own site that we saw, shown as a "Book with the vineyard" button.
Prices as stated
- 117 vineyards state a tour or tasting price in pounds; 54 do not.
- Taking the lowest amount each of them states, prices run from £1 to £300, with a middle value of £25.
- 51 start below £25, 59 start between £25 and £40, and 7 start above £40.
- Vineyards describe different things for their price (a tasting, a tour, a flight, a meal), so compare the wording on each page, not just the number.
Opening times
- 135 vineyards give a weekly pattern or season; 10 give one-off event or open-day dates only; 26 give no times and are listed for their price.
- 76 vineyards name a month or season in the times they give, so the times may not apply all year.

Where the information comes from
Every listing comes from the vineyard's own website. We keep opening times and prices as the vineyard words them, link to the page we read and show the date we read it. Times and prices can be seasonal, so confirm with the vineyard before you travel. We run no ads and vineyards cannot pay to be listed or to change what we show.
Counts update whenever the listings do.
